Sussex Yoga Immersion
January – April 2026
For curious students & returning teachers seeking depth, clarity & confidence.
Welcome
Not everyone wants to change careers.
You may not want to teach.
But many women feel a strong pull toward something deeper — a longing to understand yoga beyond weekly classes, to reconnect with themselves, and to be part of a meaningful learning community.
The Sussex Yoga Immersion gives you the richness and transformation of a teacher training environment, without the assessments or the teaching practice.
It’s also a powerful refresher for teachers who feel they’ve “lost their way”, want to rebuild confidence, or want to study in an embodied, modern, compassionate space.
Is This You?
This immersion is perfect if you:
Want to Deepen Your Practice
Want more from your practice than drop-in classes can offer
Love learning, reflection, and personal development

Want A Meaningful Reset

Want community and connection with like-minded women
Are curious about teacher training but not sure yet

Prefer to learn in a beautiful, nurturing space
Want time for yourself — physically, mentally, and emotionally
You don’t need to be flexible.
You don’t need to be experienced.
You just need curiosity.
What’s Not Included
This immersion is intentionally non-certifying.
You will not be expected to teach or be assessed.
It does not include:
✘ Teaching practice
✘ Delivering sequences or micro-teaching
✘ Voice training or cueing practice
✘ Adjustments or hands-on assists
✘ Written assessments or exams
✘ Sequencing assignments
✘ Certification to teach yoga
This creates a spacious, pressure-free environment where you can focus entirely on your own learning, embodiment, reflection, and growth — without performing, being evaluated, or training for a teaching role.
“Over the years, many student friends have asked about teacher training, but they’ve no desire for the full commitment. In 2022, I started to offer these immersives as an alternative.”
Bryony Hamerton
Why Teachers Love This Too
If you’ve already completed a 200-hour training, this immersion offers a gentle but powerful way to reconnect with your practice and update your skills — without retaking a full certification.
Many teachers join because they want to:
• Refresh and rebuild confidence
Return to being a student, reconnect with your voice, and feel grounded again.
• Update knowledge with modern, embodied teaching
Learn somatics, nervous system literacy, and evidence-aware movement principles that many older trainings never covered.
• Expand creativity and inspiration
Refine sequencing, cueing, theming and embodied flow in a supportive environment.
• Study in a nurturing, beautiful space
Experience the spaciousness, warmth and depth that Be Yoga Sussex is known for.
Whether you trained recently or years ago, this immersion offers clarity, renewed passion, and a safe space to grow again… from Bry;
I’m continually deepening my own studies and training, and each immersion reflects the most up-to-date understanding of yoga, neuroscience, and embodied movement. You’ll explore how yoga is now woven into education, workplace wellbeing, mental health support, and clinical settings — and how these insights can enrich your own practice.
Why Learn With Bryony (and the Team)
My own studies, practice, and teaching are always evolving, and I love sharing what I’m learning. Each immersion reflects the most current blend of yoga research, neuroscience, somatics, philosophy, and embodied movement. Yoga continues to grow into new spaces — workplaces, education, mental health, and clinical settings — and I bring those insights into the training in a grounded, practical way.
I’m joined by some of the Be Collective instructors as guest teachers, Fiona McBride & Julie K, alongside an exceptional team of teachers who are leaders in their fields, bringing depth, clarity, and inspiration to your learning experience:
• Dr Matthew Clark — Yoga History & Philosophy
Associate Research Fellow at SOAS and one of the UK’s most respected yoga scholars. Matthew brings clarity, humour, and depth to the origins of yoga and its evolution.
• Silvia Laurenti — Anatomy & Physiology
A highly respected anatomy educator and yoga teacher specialising in functional movement, biomechanics, and evidence-informed practice. Silvia teaches in a way that is engaging, accessible, and transformative for students and teachers alike.
• Emma Newlyn — Ayurveda & Holistic Health
An experienced Ayurvedic practitioner and yoga teacher, Emma brings warmth and practical wisdom to understanding the body’s rhythms, seasonal practices, and individual constitution.
Together, we offer a rich, integrated, and compassionate learning environment — grounded in experience, research, and embodied understanding.
